Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Check out some of our ongoing mission and outreach opportunities below. We hope you will find a place where you can get involved and bless members of our community and further.  Read more here about our desire to serve the people of Onslow County and others as we can.

Rise Against Hunger

Each year on Palm Sunday, we raise funds and pack food to feed hungry people around the world through the ministry of Rise Against Hunger. Everyone is invited to participate, both in giving and in the packing event, which included people of all ages--you just have to be able to carry a small bag or bucket without spilling, or be able to sit comfortably for a while. For more information about past and future events, please call the office.

It is announced that our meals, packaged on April 14, were combined with others to total 285,120 meals and were sent to the Dominican Republic to CitiHope International !

Food for Friends

We have a small but important food pantry that collects canned goods on the 2nd Sunday of the month. You are invited to bring nonperishable items and leave them in our grocery carts located at the front doors of the sanctuary and fellowship hall. These items are bagged and distributed throughout the week for those who come to the church for assistance.

Laundry Ministry

Our laundry ministry at the Wash Bucket began in the fall of 2015. Since then it has grown to serve 25-30 individuals on a bi-weekly basis. We bring detergent, quarters, and fellowship to those living in the shelter and beyond that need laundry services. This ministry operates from 9am to 12pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.

Mission Trip to Costa Rica June 2018

We thank Thee for food and remember the hungry.
We thank Thee for health and remember the sick.
We thank Thee for friends and remember the friendless.
We thank Thee for freedom and remember the enslaved.
May these remembrances stir us to service,
That Thy gifts to us may be used for others.
