UMW’s purpose is for all members to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.   Each circle conducts learning experiences for their members.
UMW gives back to our local community as well as partnering with our district and conference women's organizations.  Last year, UMW  gave over $10,000.00 to our local community with donations to CHEW, PEERS, Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, Soup Kitchen, Onslow Community Outreach and Phillips Park Ministry.  We also support UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) with a yearly project.

Our service which extends to grieving families including delivering family meals to their home or providing refreshments for a family visitation in the Fellowship Hall, and assisting families at the church before and after funeral services.   UMW members are called upon by the church staff and church members to fulfill church duties as they arise.  United Methodist Women bring women together to grow in faith, hope and love in action.  Come join us! Start your own circle of women or meet with an existing one.

Circle 1 ~ led by Donna Summerlin ~ is a group of professional and retired women and those who stay-at-home. We meet the first Tuesday of the month, September through May, either at a member’s home or the church (depending on the program). The first and last meetings of the year are held at a local restaurant. We participate and donate, as needed, with the UMW chosen missions as well as church missions. We enjoy being together and anyone is welcome !
Circle 2 ~  led by Barbara Love ~  a small group of women who meet on the second Wednesday every other month. Our outreach programs include Birthday Blessings,  providing a birthday celebration for children who reside in local shelters ; Bundled bottoms, providing materials needed to sew diaper pants for Haitian children in need; Penny and A Prayer.  Our goal is to serve women and children at home as well as globally.
Circle 3 ~ led by Barbara Williams ~ is a group of ladies who meet monthly (September -May) at the home of a member.
Circle 4 ~ led by Suzanne Nelson, is comprised typically of young adult women, working or full time mothers.
